Actually, it's a Chinchilla. A close relative of a mouse. Native to the Andes mountain range. Chinchillas are perfect low maintenance pets.
Expect to clean their cage about every 7-10 days.
They consume about a tablespoon of food per day, and very little water.
The ladies all want a Chinchilla coat right? This one is self cleaning. Chinchillas keep themselves clean by taking dust baths.

We raise the majority of our hamsters and Guinea Pigs here. These Teddy Bear Hamsters are three days old.
We want any pet you purchase for your child to be tame and not bite. Have you ever stood in a pet shop and watched as the clerk puts on a pair of gloves, and then proceeds to catch your pet with a glass jar?
If they're afraid to handle them, why would you want to buy it for your kids?
Can you believe that these baby Guinea Pigs are only four days old?
Guinea Pigs are born with their eyes open, and can eat and drink the same week they are born! They are not really pigs. They are "Cavies"
Their name was earned from the squealing sound they make when frightened. They're originally from New Guinea hence their name.
The mother of these "hogs" is a Peruvian, or longhair. Guinea pigs are great beginning pets for children with small hands. They can survive accidental rough handling, and rarely bite.
It is absolutely essential that they have a high quality diet fortified with vitamin C to prevent scurvy. Avoid cheap supermarket, or bulk seeds. We suggest only Sun Seed "Vita Guinea Pig", or "Sun Fun".
You should also use "Sun Drops" daily in their water. Adult size 2 lbs. Age 4-5 years.
